From a Customer May 20, 2003
Dear Sirs;
Approximately two years ago, I had attended a small Corvette
get-together at Paragon Motors, Rankin, Michigan. The owner of the
Corvette parts and restoration business not only provided lunch, he also
offered some free prizes.
I won a gem of a prize!! I got a 16oz. plastic container of "High-Shine
Wax and Rust Blocker", as marketed by Bull Frog. I hadn't tried the
High-Shine until this past Fall because I had a can of Blue Coral paste
wax in use. I wish I had tried the High-Shine sooner! I was accustomed to
needing to use the Blue Coral about three times during May thru October
when I insure the car for the road. And even then, the brilliant shine
didn't seem to last very long. Perhaps a couple weeks. I have used the
High-Shine on my car just once and I think it was early last Fall. Just
yesterday, May 19th, 2003, I gave my car a bath with clear water and went
over the white side walls with S.O.S. pads. The car paint and shine is
truly great! The "brilliant long lasting shine" statement on the Bull Frog
container is factual. I use cotton cloth to clean and remove the water and
I noted that the small scratches that occur with paste wax are much less
with High-Shine.
So, why am I writing to you!!?? I've searched on the Internet for the
possibility of a Bull Frog web page but didn't locate one. I've looked
some in retail stores for your products but haven't discovered them yet.
I'm writing in hopes that you will tell me where you market your products.
I live in a small Village of Chelsea, MI, just off of I-94 that runs
between Chicago and Detroit. Bigger towns of Jackson (to the West) and Ann
Arbor (to the East) are within easy reach from Chelsea. I'm reluctant to
use more of the High-Shine, that I have, than absolutely necessary, for
fear of running out with no identified location for more!!
I do have one other question. Does the High-Shine contain an 'abrasive'
for cleaning? The color coat on my car is thin and since it was re-painted
in 1983, I'm beginning to see some areas where the waxing has worn the
color very thin and the under-coat is nearly visible. Perhaps you offer a
"High-Shine" that is without any cleaner? I do hope to hear from you about
your products. I'm very pleased with the High-Shine wax and I'm sure I'll
have plenty more opportunities to 'toot-your-horn' but I'd like to also
tell people where they can find your products.
I've included a picture. This was taken after the High-Shine treatment.
I ordered the car in early 1961 and finally took delivery on July 20,
1961. The hard top hangs in the garage most of the time. The engine is 283
ci with two four barrels and the Duntov (mechanical lift) cam and was
rated at 270 HP. Four speed manual transmission with the 3.70:1
Positraction rear axle. Total cost was approximately $4,800. (a lot for a
car then) As seen in the picture, it has 135,000 miles on the odometer. I
add about 2000 miles each year from May thru October. Show attendance is
very infrequent. Driving is as frequent as Michigan weather permits. Thank
you for a great product in the High-Shine wax. It is refreshing to find a
product that lives up to its advertising.
From a Customer:
